Job Summary

Main Responsibilities

Support the coordination of key components of IEAs energy technology network including

  • the planning and priority-setting for IEAs support to the IEA Technology Colloboration Programme (TCP) in close collaboration with the IEA Chief Energy Technology Officer and the internal TCP coordination team within the IEA Secretariat;
  • oversee the coordination of the TCPs Request for Extensions working closely with IEAs legal team;
  • contribute to other projects that help facilitate co-operation among the TCPs such as the TCP Co-ordination Groups;
  • support the management of the IEAs Technology and Innovation Advisory Board;
  • support activites related to TCP communication in close collaboration with IEA Members the TCPs and the IEA Secretariat;
  • planning and executing event management including preparations of the biennial TCP Universal meetings and the IEA Energy Innovation Forum; and
  • contribute to the organisation of Committee and Working Party meetings that are under the responsibility of the Energy Technology Policy Division.

 

Other functions

  • Support the coordination and reporting for the Energy Technology Policy Divisions participation in the IEA Clean Energy Transitions Programme (CETP);
  • Support the Division with tracking financial voluntary contributions from external donors and contribute with affiliated narrative reporting;
  • Prepare procurements related to such as the hosting of events and the hiring of external consulants;
  • Support the Energy Technology Policy Division with other project and processes to improve the divisions effectiveness.

Qualifications :

Ideal Candidate Profile

Academic Background

  • Post-secondary level of education preferably at university level or equivalent in statistics economics public policy or technical subject relevant to energy or equivalent experience.

Professional Background

  • At least five years professional experience in an energy related field. 
  • Broad experience with event management and communication.
  • Experience and interest in project management involving being part of a small teams to deliver outputs. 

Languages

  • Fluency in one of the two OECD official languages (English and French) and knowledge of the other with a commitment to reach a good working level.
  • Knowledge of other languages would be an asset.

Contract Duration

  • Two-year fixed term appointment with the possibility of renewal.

  • Please note that the appointment may be made at one grade lower in the specified job family based on the qualifications and professional experience of the selected applicant.

Selection Process

For retained candidates written tests/video-recorded interviews are foreseen for the second half of December 2025 early January 2026 and panel interviews are planned for second half of January 2026.
