The Opportunity
Stanley College is seeking passionate and experienced Lecturers for the Bachelor of Community Services program to deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences that prepare students for effective and ethical practice in diverse community services settings. This role plays a key part in developing students professional knowledge critical thinking cultural competence and commitment to social justice. The Lecturer will contribute to curriculum development assessment design and continuous program improvement while maintaining strong engagement with industry and community partners to ensure relevance and impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging lectures tutorials and workshops across community services units using innovative and student-centred teaching approaches.
- Ensure teaching and assessment align with academic standards industry expectations and graduate outcomes.
- Provide timely constructive feedback academic guidance and mentoring to support student success.
- Foster an inclusive supportive and culturally responsive learning environment.
- Contribute to curriculum development moderation validation and continuous improvement activities.
- Participate in academic administration quality assurance and accreditation processes.
- Maintain accurate student records and comply with academic and regulatory requirements.
- Engage in professional development and scholarly activities to enhance teaching practice and discipline knowledge.
- Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to departmental and institutional initiatives upholding workplace safety and organisational values.
About You
- A recognised AQF1 qualification (Masters or PhD) in Community Services Social Work Human Services or a closely related discipline.
- Extensive experience teaching in higher education with strong knowledge of community services theory practice and ethical frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to support and engage diverse student cohorts including international students.
- Commitment to inclusive education cultural diversity workplace safety and continuous improvement.
- Strong communication collaboration and academic mentoring skills with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary academic team.
