What You Will Do:
Serve as the technical authority for process control systems across gas transmission facilities.
Develop and maintain engineering standards specifications and procedures.
Provide expert input during design reviews incident investigations risk assessments and process hazard analyses.
Act as the escalation point for complex technical challenges and systemic issues.
Research and integrate emerging automation technologies to improve reliability and performance.
Collaborate with industry groups vendors and internal teams to drive best practices.
Who You Are:
You have:
Bachelors degree in Electrical Automation or Controls Engineering.
Professional Engineer (P.E.) designation or eligibility.
Minimum 15 years of experience in automation engineering preferably in natural gas transmission or similar industries.
Technical Expertise:
Proficient in industrial control systems (PLCs HMIs instrumentation).
Strong knowledge of applicable codes and standards (CSA IEEE API ISA ASME).
Skills:
Excellent communication and technical writing abilities.
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage vendor relationships.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in oil & gas particularly gas transmission pipelines.
Familiarity with Solar and/or Baker Hughes gas turbines in compression applications.
Expertise in instrumentation and fire/gas detection systems.
Knowledge of cybersecurity standards for industrial control systems.
Advanced understanding of networked control architectures and remote monitoring.

Working Conditions:
Travel: 10% Domestic some International
Physical Requirements (Include but are not limited to):
Grasping kneeling light moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds) reaching above shoulder repetitive motion typing sitting standing visual requirement (able to see screens detect color coding read fine print) hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.
