Key Responsibilities

Provide basic nursing care to students including assessment treatment and monitoring of health conditions.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to healthcare plans and protocols.
Assist with student health screenings immunization tracking and maintaining accurate health records.
Respond promptly to student health emergencies providing first aid and coordinating further care as needed.
Collaborate with school nurses teachers parents and healthcare providers to develop and implement individualized health plans.
Support health education and promote wellness initiatives within the school community.
Maintain a safe clean and confidential healthcare environment in accordance with school policies.
Document nursing care and communicate effectively with the school health team.

Qualifications

Current and valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Virginia
Previous experience in pediatric school or community health nursing preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and foster positive relationships with students staff and families
BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification
