TOTAL COMPENSATION:$80000 - $82500 5% annual bonus potential

U.S. Ski & Snowboard is seeking a Sport Data Analytics Manager to continue to advance our understanding of snow sports. SUMMARY / OBJECTIVE

The Sport Data Analytics Manager as a member of the High Performance Department is responsible for managing Sport and High Performance data streams to ensure high-quality information that supports data-informed decision-making through analysis interpretation and reporting. This role enhances operational performance by identifying trends explaining results and supporting strategic initiatives. It requires a combination of technical expertise analytical rigor and strong communication skills.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Athlete Experience
    1. Assist in organizing and analyzing athlete performance testing and training data to identify trends that enhance athlete development and performance.
    2. Develop and maintain visualizations and reports that enable coaches and practitioners to make data-informed decisions.
    3. Collaborate with sport science and coaching staff to translate analytical findings into practical strategies that support athlete readiness performance and well-being.
  2. Operational Excellence
    1. Manage and maintain Sport and High Performance data systems to ensure data integrity accuracy and accessibility.
    2. Integrate data from multiple sources to streamline reporting processes and support cross-departmental collaboration.
    3. Contribute to the development and enforcement of data governance practices ensuring compliance with data security and privacy standards.
    4. Support the High Performance Data Coordinator in managing the Athlete Management System.
    5. Manage analytics professionals ensuring efficient and professional insights project management and continued growth opportunities.
    6. Work as part of an interdisciplinary team providing world-class services to Sport Teams and Athletes.
    7. Support data aspects of criteria development to support athlete identification.
    8. Stay at the leading edge of dataanalytics research and techniques.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE

  1. Minimum Undergraduate degree (ideally Masters degree) in Sport ScienceStatistics Data Science or related subject.
  2. Minimum3 years experience in data analytics/science.
  3. Exceptional ability using R (preferred) or Python for data analysis and modeling in applied sport settings.
  4. Practical experience utilizing APIs version control and code collaboration.
  5. Proficiency in athlete management systems (preferably Teamworks AMS) is an asset.
  6. A strong understanding ofcommon sport science and performance athlete testing and subsequent data outputs is preferred.
  7. Proven experience working in an interdisciplinary High Performance Department among multiple disciplines.
  8. Excellent knowledgeof modern statistical and machine learning methods including experience in complex and time series data sets.
  9. Ability to travel nationally/internationally as required.
  10. Legally able to work in the USA (USA citizen or existing Green Card/Work Visa without further sponsorship).
