The Communications Engineering Chapter at Suncorp New Zealand is dedicated to delivering seamless high-quality customer communications backed by robust technology and customer-centric design. Were looking for a talented Communications Analyst to play a pivotal role in enabling and improving customer communications across the business.

In this role youll collaborate with stakeholders technology teams and subject matter experts to analyse design and deliver communications that are accurate compliant brand-aligned and meaningful for our customers. Youll support the end-to-end lifecycle of communicationsfrom discovery and requirements gathering through to testing implementation and continuous improvement.

What Youll Do

  • Work with stakeholders and SMEs to elicit analyse document and validate business and technical requirements.
  • Translate complex information into clear scope definitions user stories acceptance criteria business rules and process maps.
  • Build strong relationships with Customer Campaigns & Engagement Product Claims Underwriting Sales & Service Legal Risk & Compliance and technology teams.
  • Facilitate workshops and showcases to validate content and requirements.
  • Act as a key point of contact for communications change queries and vendor interactions.
  • Identify opportunities to optimise operations reduce rework improve quality and deliver cost savings.
  • Participate in retrospectives and feedback sessions to drive team learning and performance.

What Youll Bring

  • 3 years experience as a Business Analyst Communications Analyst or in an IT-focused role.
  • Experience in the insurance or financial services industry.
  • Experience with communications platforms (e.g. SmartCOMM) and content management systems.
  • Hands-on experience working in Agile/SCRUM environments.
  • Understanding of UX/CX principles and design thinking.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to translate complexity into clarity.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to engage stakeholders at all levels negotiate constructively and build trusted relationships.
