Assistant Shift Supervisor

Marvin Composites is hiring an Assistant Shift Supervisor at our Salem VA plant. Were looking for a proactive leader with manufacturing experience who is comfortable working around equipment. Youll support our production team and shift supervisors to keep operations running smoothly. This role focuses on developing people building a strong team culture and making sure we deliver safe high quality work every day.

Schedule: 6:30 AM - 6:45 PM

Week 1 (36hrs): Sun Wed Thur
Week 2 (48hrs): Mon Tues Fri Sat

Enjoy a 3-day weekend every other week!
Work just 7 out of every 14 days giving you more time for family hobbies or rest.

Pay:

Base rate: $26-35/hr
$4.00/hr weekend premium

Effective wage potential (baseweekend premiumOT): $29-39/ hr
pay based on experience

• Support the development of a positive team culture aligned with company values
• Promote a safe work environment and reinforce strong safety habits across the shift
• Coach train and mentor your direct reports while encouraging skill growth and self-sufficiency
• Help lead in continuous improvements by supporting SOP updates post-crash reviews and practical process improvements
• Partner with the Shift Supervisor to keep the shift running smoothly and maintain a productive and team focused environment

• 3 years of manufacturing experience preferred
• Technical degree preferred
• Ability to identify root causes and recommend practical solutions
• Experience leading others preferred
