Description
Take a support role in crew preparation management and accomplishment of field tasks.
Participate in critical support taskssuch as:organizing digital and paper files receiving packagesevent supportinventorying equipmentutilizingan asset management system to handlecheckin/check outof equipment and more.
Assist NMFWRI staff and NMHU faculty in conducting training related to ecological measurement treatment analysis techniques restoration methods and more.
Perform computer entry of field dataincluding usingMicrosoft ExcelAccess FFIor other database software with attention to detailand quality control including working with complex historic databases.
Assistin generating summary reports and analysis of field and vegetation treatmentdata andparticipate in the review and publication of other materials such as handbooks and technical guides.
Assistwithmapping of project sites using Global Positioning System and Geographic Information Systems technologies.
Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of NMFWRI equipment.
Maintain regular attendance and clear communication with supervisors and colleagues inofficefield and online working environments.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Enrolled at NMHU
Experience:
Effective time management continued employment is contingent upon grant/contract funding which come with time-sensitive deliverables
Strong organizational and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in equipment management and/or administrative tasks
