DescriptionPurpose of the Role
The Finance Intern will provide dedicated support to the Director of Finance for New Hotel Openings across SEAK & JAPAC. This role involves assisting with administrative tasks strategic projects and monitoring pre-opening progress to ensure successful hotel launches.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Director of Finance with administrative and project-related tasks.
- Coordinate and manage meeting schedules with General Managers and Directors of Finance for new openings; record minutes and follow up on actions.
- Develop and maintain dashboards to track pre-opening progress and critical information.
- Prepare pre-opening budgets and collaborate with hotel teams on monthly budget execution.
- Support Accounts Receivable collection processes.
- Contribute to initiatives aimed at streamlining finance pre-opening processes enhancing tools and ensuring compliance.
- Drive alignment with internal stakeholders to achieve team objectives
- Identify and support process improvement opportunities in systems controls and procedures.
Qualifications
Education:
Undergraduate degree in Accountancy Business Management or Hospitality Management (final-year students preferred).
Experience:
Prior internship experience in hotel management accounting or real estate consulting/advisory firms is advantageous.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong desire to learn and adapt to new challenges.
- Detail-oriented proactive and able to work independently.
- Creative problem-solving and idea generation skills.
- Excellent project management and communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel PowerPoint and Word.
- Team player with strong verbal and written communication skills
