Job Summary
A high-performing secondary school in Telford is looking for a committed and meticulous Attendance Officer to join their pastoral team from January 2026.
The Role
You will play a key part in promoting excellent attendance safeguarding pupils and supporting positive pupil engagement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Monitoring daily attendance and punctuality
- Making first-day absence calls and home contacts
- Producing attendance reports for pastoral and leadership teams
- Working with Heads of Year to identify concerns early
- Coordinating attendance meetings with parents
- Supporting safeguarding procedures where needed
