The appointed Year 4 Teacher will be responsible for designing and delivering well-sequenced Year 4 units that deepen pupils conceptual understanding and fluency. This Year 4 Teacher will lead interventions contribute to assessment moderation and take part in cross-curricular projects that enrich learning across Oxford. The Year 4 Teacher will plan differentiated lessons deliver quality-first teaching and use assessment to set precise next steps for pupils. This Year 4 Teacher will run booster groups provide formative feedback and liaise with parents to share Oxford the school promotes collaborative planning and regular CPD so the Year 4 Teacher will have access to coaching and development opportunities.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality Year 4 lessons with clear progression and differentiation.
- Monitor progress and design small-group interventions that accelerate learning.
- Maintain accurate assessment records and contribute to moderation across the school.
- Work with TAs to deliver targeted support and ensure pupils access the curriculum.
- Contribute to enrichment activities and community partnerships in Oxford.
Person specification
- Qualified teacher with proven Year 4 or KS2 experience and evidence of positive impact.
- Confident planner with secure subject knowledge and strong behaviour management.
- Effective communicator organised and committed to working in Oxford.
- Able to start January 2026 and to attend induction and planning ahead of January 2026.
