Job Summary
Maintenance Operations
- Plan schedule and execute preventive and corrective maintenance across all lodge buildings guest rooms staff accommodation vehicles and equipment.
- Manage all aspects of electrical plumbing HVAC and general building maintenance.
- Ensure all systems (water power irrigation sewage etc.) are fully operational at all times.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
Team Management
- Lead train and supervise the lodge maintenance team.
- Assign daily tasks monitor progress and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Foster a proactive and collaborative team culture.
Vendor & Budget Management
- Source and manage contractors and external service providers as needed.
- Monitor and maintain an inventory of maintenance tools materials and spare parts.
- Assist in preparing and managing the maintenance budget.
Health Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health safety and environmental regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance work inspections and compliance reports.
Guest Experience Support
- Ensure all guest areas lodges and facilities are maintained to the highest standard at all times.
- Work closely with the Lodge Manager and all departments to minimize disruptions to guest experiences
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years experience in facilities or maintenance management preferably in lodges hotels or resorts.
- Strong technical knowledge in electrical plumbing HVAC carpentry and general mechanical systems.
- Proven leadership and team management experience.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of health safety and environmental compliance standards.
- Valid drivers license and willingness to work in a remote lodge environment
