Description

Technical Editor is skilled and detail oriented and plays a crucial role in reviewing and refining technical content ensuring that it aligns with client directives and requirements in support of brand voice meeting the highest standards of quality. Technical Editor collaborates closely with creative and account teams to produce compelling error-free materials that effectively communicate our clients messages.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Work with clients servicing and legal teams to produce technical communications drawing on historical content.
  • Verify facts data and references cited in technical materials ensuring accuracy and credibility.
  • Review technical content including legal copy servicing and marketing materials website content and other collateral for grammar punctuation spelling and style errors.
  • Ensure consistency and adherence to brand guidelines tone of voice and messaging across all materials.
  • Collaborate with writers designers and other team members to clarify technical concepts and improve the overall quality of content.
  • Format documents and materials according to company standards and client requirements.
  • Execute tasks with a highly process-oriented approach following standardized procedures and protocols to achieve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Stay updated on industry trends best practices and advancements in advertising and marketing to enhance the effectiveness of our technical content.


Requirements

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Education: A bachelors degree in English journalism communications advertising marketing or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience as a technical editor copy editor copywriter or similar role in the advertising or marketing industry. Experience working with finance and technology clients is a plus.
  • Excellent command of the English language and strong writing and editing skill
  • Ability to interpret and adhere to clients brand standards.
  • Ability to identify errors inconsistencies and discrepancies in content.
  • Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy and adherence to compliance requirements and technical specifications.
  • Familiarity with advertising and marketing terminology concepts and trends.
  • Proficiency in using editing tools for Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Knowledge of style guides such as the AP Stylebook or Chicago Manual of Style.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience with digital content creation and knowledge of SEO principles is a plus.
