Learning and Development Advisor

Juken New Zealand Ltd (JNL) is an international forest and wood products company operating in local and global timber markets. JNL owns three wood processing plants in the North Island and forests in the East Coast and Wairarapa regions. We work closely with our parent company in Japan WoodOne.

At Juken New Zealand we manufacture high quality solid wood and laminated veneer lumber products employing over 400 staff nationally with around 200 based at our two Kaitaia mills.

In this one-year project role we are looking for a motivated organised inspirational Learning and Development Advisor to complete the transition to our new learning systems and develop and embed the training matrix and calendar. Reporting to the GM People and Culture in Auckland this full-time role is part of our national People and Culture Team. You will work in partnership with the GM Kaitaia Mills and the management teams across two sites.

To succeed in this role you will need:

• Proven organisation time management planning and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated experience of analysing training needs planning and implementing training programmes
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment or the ability to quickly understand manufacturing processes would be an advantage
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills in a complex environment ability to relate to a diverse range of people
• Sound computer skills with the ability to learn new systems quickly
