Position Overview

We are seeking a candidate to lead comprehensive project management services for our client. This role requires a seasoned professional who will oversee the complete project lifecycle from pipeline management through project closeout while establishing and maintaining best practices across a global portfolio of capital projects.

Key Responsibilities

Pipeline & Strategic Planning

  • Maintain consolidated capital pipeline tracker and provide strategic oversight during pre-initiation phases
  • Develop project prioritization matrices based on pre-agreed criteria and funding strategies
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to gather requirements and produce indicative budgets and timelines
  • Attend strategy meetings and deliver monthly pipeline update reports to stakeholders

Project Initiation & Approval Management

  • Guide projects from concept through formal approval by developing comprehensive scope timelines and budgets
  • Establish project governance structures including core teams decision matrices and execution plans
  • Incorporate Technical Due Diligence findings and coordinate procurement strategies
  • Compile formal submission packages in accordance with Applied Materials organizational governance standards

Team Onboarding & Development

  • Identify and manage PMO team resources
  • Provide client-specific training on procedures workflows and governance requirements
  • Establish project communications protocols reporting requirements and performance expectations
  • Create comprehensive onboarding materials and track training completion

Project Oversight & Delivery

  • Provide oversight to variable delivery teams across multiple projects throughout the project lifecycle
  • Maintain consolidated program-level reporting including schedule budget quality and performance metrics
  • Monitor risk registers manage change control processes and coordinate stakeholder engagement
  • Ensure compliance with standards and facilitate internal collaboration with key Applied Materials stakeholders

Project Closeout & Knowledge Management

  • Oversee systematic project completion including client acceptance and transition to operational teams
  • Conduct financial reconciliation lessons learned sessions and project archival
  • Update portfolio data to inform future planning and maintain centralized project repositories

Account Management & Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain standardized PMO toolkit and provide portfolio-level insights and recommendations
  • Support annual capital planning cycles and facilitate regular governance forums with the client
  • Lead post-implementation reviews and benchmark account performance against industry standards
  • Develop client-facing dashboards providing real-time visibility into project health and performance

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering Construction Management Business Administration or related field
  • PMP PRINCE2 or equivalent project management certification preferred
  • Minimum 7-10 years of project management experience with demonstrated PMO leadership
  • Experience managing large-scale capital projects and cross-functional teams
  • Strong proficiency in project management software and reporting tools
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience working with technology or manufacturing clients preferred
