Logistics Manager Shipping & Receiving
Summary:
Responsible for managing all shipping receiving and material movement activities. Ensures accurate timely shipments efficient receiving processes and a safe organized warehouse environment.
Responsible for managing all shipping receiving and material movement activities. Ensures accurate timely shipments efficient receiving processes and a safe organized warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily shipping and receiving operations including carrier scheduling freight coordination and documentation.
- Ensure accurate ERP transactions inventory movement and proper handling of materials.
- Supervise and develop shipping/receiving team members; assign work and monitor performance.
- Coordinate with Production Planning and Purchasing to support material flow and on-time delivery.
- Manage relationships with carriers and drive freight cost improvements.
- Maintain compliance with safety regulations and support continuous process improvements.
Qualifications:
- 35 years experience in logistics shipping/receiving or warehousing.
- Supervisory or lead experience required.
- Knowledge of freight carriers LTL/FTL shipping and logistics paperwork.
- ERP/WMS experience.
- Strong communication organization and problem-solving skills.
- Manufacturing environment experience preferred.
