Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Safeguarding Practitioner to join our Adult Safeguarding team. This is a vital role where you will make a real difference in the lives of adults at risk promoting their rights safety and wellbeing.

You will work within a multi-agency framework to respond to safeguarding concerns undertake Section 42 enquiries and develop protection plans that are person-centred and outcome-focused. Youll be part of a supportive team committed to continuous learning and improvement with opportunities to contribute to practice development and service transformation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate safeguarding enquiries under the Care Act 2014.
  • Work collaboratively with adults at risk their families and partner agencies to assess risk and develop safeguarding plans.
  • Apply professional judgement and legal frameworks to complex cases.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records in line with statutory requirements.
  • Promote Making Safeguarding Personal principles in all aspects of your work.

About You

  • Qualified Nurse or Occupational Therapist registered with the appropriate regulator.
  • Experience in adult safeguarding mental capacity assessments and risk management.
  • Strong understanding of relevant legislation including the Care Act Mental Capacity Act and Human Rights Act.
  • Excellent communication analytical and interpersonal skills.
