Reporting hierarchically to the Sales Leader South Asia Sr Account Sales Manager is responsible to develop the GSI Sales in North (including Nepal) & South India in coordination with the local Tendering and Project Execution teams. You will support in driving sales growth managing client relationships and developing sales this role you will be instrumental in developing the key account approach with which you are accountable for Sales Strategy Definition and Implementation developing Customer Intimacy Business Development and Order Intake while ensuring the strict application of GEVs Ethic Compliance and processes The Sr Account Sales manager has overall responsibility to develop pipeline and to drive margin and top-line growth for HVDC FACTS AC Substation and Service opportunities.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities:
Assist in developing and implementing sales strategies to achieve revenue goals and market share.
Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients in India with a key account mindset ensuring customer satisfaction and identifying new business opportunities.
Sales Target Achievement: Support the sales team in achieving sales targets and objectives.
Sales Activities: Prepare sales proposals presentations and quotes.
Sales Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions.
Team Collaboration: Participate in sales team meetings training programs and collaborative projects.
Lead Generation: Identify and generate new sales leads through various channels.
Identify key opportunistic areas for synergies and collaboration between GE and customers from broader perspective.
Pipeline identification pipeline management and demand creation
Develop influential relationships with assigned customers at all levels
Build knowledge of Indias market economics competitive issues technologies and market opportunities.
Within a geographic area responsible for selling turnkey solutions services or parts
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors /Masters degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering from an accredited university. MBA degree would be preferred.
This role requires significant experience in the Sales. Minimum 18 - 20 years of sales experience within the Power/Energy industry.
Experience in carrying out market assessments and subsequently developing and implementing relevant commercial strategies that facilitate market penetration.
Desired Characteristics:
Excellent understanding of Indian economics with respect to regulatory structure and appreciation of social political dimension.
Interprets simple internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve solutions products processes or services. Stays informed of industry trends that may inform work.
Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and is able to construct and provide recommendations
Ability to develop influential customer relationships plans sales strategies presentations and proposals.
Strong connect with Central utilities regulators & authorities PGCIL NTPC CTU CEA CERC etc.
Domain knowledge on HVDC FACTS devices is must & should have been working with Central utility regulators & authorities on these solutions since last 2 -3 years
Strong Connect with Renewable & TBCB customers.
Strong customer mindset strong influence and negotiation skills.
Strong oral and written communication skills at the executive level.
Ability to effectively lead a multi-functional team and operate in a matrix organization.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
Knowledge of market economics competitive landscape technology and projects.
Strong understanding of the commercial processes
Strong financial analysis skills including forecasting.
Proficient in English & Hindi
