Job Description Summary

The LM6000 Aeroderivative Engineering Product Leader is a critical role in the ITR engineering team to lead and ensure Quality and On-time product implementation within projects owning product integration from proposal development to commercial operation. The Engineering Product Leader focus will be on Quality leading the ITR engineering change management process NCRs lifecycle containment corrective and preventive actions working cross-functionally within Aero Engineering and centered on delivering a defect-free customer experience.

The Engineering Product Leader will partner with all Aero Engineering functions to ensure successful ITR deployment of product modifications Lessons Learned Customer Survey feedback and lead on Safety and Quality establishing a culture of continuous improvement with focus on eliminating customer escapes.

This role requires a solid technical foundation on engine package and systems integration as well as commercial acumen and customer facing experience. Starting with design verification and validation of the gas turbine generator package this leader defines detailed work scope to meet or exceed contractual requirements makes system level trades sets ITR product priorities and manages the broader LM6000 quality roadmap.

Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Leads and implements cross-functional initiatives to minimize COQ on LM6000 projects ensuring proper disposition of NCR corrective actions containment and preventive plans.
  • Defines robust read-across strategies and affected unit list implementation.
  • Leads ITR containment strategy and execution throughout the LM6000 product lifecycle.
  • Partners with cross-discipline engineering teams to develop product initiatives that focus on improving product quality risk management and elimination of customer escapes by visiting customer sites and collecting feedback.
  • Works with Project Managers and engineering project leads to prepare customer meeting presentations and actively participate in customer discussions related to Quality and Delivery.
  • Translates project execution lessons learned into product requirements and actionable plans to improve project execution and customer experience.
  • Knowledgeable on configuration trades and studies. Ensures team is mitigating LM6000 risk throughout project execution before reaching customer.
  • Collaborates with System Integration Leaders to manage product development with focus on Quality project execution.
  • Collaborates with manufacturing engineering focal to reduce COQ.
  • Provides timely communication and recommendations on significant issues or developments to senior leadership teams.
  • Collaborates with Systems Integration Leader to provide project execution LLs to Product Line and help maintain VCC for Preferred Configuration.
  • Responsible for developing Standard Work Instructions for ITR processes and procedures.
  • Be a recognized as the LM6000 expert within ITR with hands on experience in designing project execution and Quality.
  • Provide product clarification and answers to customers questions work with installation and commissioning team to resolve site issues.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college of Science in Engineering or related technical field.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of work experience with strong understanding of gas turbines-based packages power generation products and quality.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position the pay range for this position is between $111200.00 and $185400.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110% 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidates experience education and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
