Seeking an Estimator experienced in both production and sales estimating within the home building industry. The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of construction processes cost estimation methodologies and material quantification. This role is critical for supporting accurate pricing optimizing project budgets and contributing to overall profitability.

What Youll Do:

Youll be the kind of person who:

Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for residential construction projects based on designsspecifications and materials.
Coordinate with internal teams including project managers architects and procurement to ensure cost estimates align with project goals.
Develop and maintain unit pricing databases and update costs based on market trends and supplier pricing.
Participate in budget development processes and provide input on cost-saving recommendations and value engineering options.
Evaluate subcontractor quotes and proposals for accuracy and completeness.
Review and revise estimates as project scopes change ensuring continuous accuracy in budgeting and project tracking.
Monitor financial aspects of ongoing projects to compare estimated versus actual costs and recommend process improvements.

Required Skills:

Requirements/Skills Needed: Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Construction Management or a related field. 4 years of experience in estimation project costing or a similar role. Proficiency in AroFlo CRM and Groundplan software. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel Outlook and Word. Strong understanding of Australian construction practices and regulatory standards. Speak English well. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in reviewing plans and documentation. Strong IT skills with the ability to learn and adapt to various tools and systems.
