Job Summary

The Account Manager in sales is to drive growth and profitability within a specific market segment by aligning sales strategies with customers techno commercial needs and market dynamics.

1. Experience in technical sales or application engineering of welding consumables (stick MIG/MAG TIG SAW fluxes wires). Understanding the products role in various applications (e.g. pressure vessels structures pipelines Wind Tower etc.)

2. Conduct product trials demonstrations and customer training. Prepare a presentation to explain points of differentiation and cost effectiveness of the products.

3. Responsible for sales and business development of welding consumables in a defined industry segment by identifying opportunities generating leads and closing deals.

4. Provide technical support on welding processes and consumable selection to end-users Sales team and distributors.

5. Build strong relationships with key accounts EPCs OEMs and fabrication plants and relevant stakeholders.

6. Collaborate with Sales R&D and application teams for segment-specific solutions.

7. Ensure product approvals and participation in pre-qualification processes.

8. Monitor competitor activity and develop counter strategies.

9. Maintain sales forecasts reports and CRM data. Prepare business case of product potential for PAN India requirements

10. Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards (AWS ASME ISO) and customer specifications.



Requirements

1. A Bachelors or Masters degree in Metallurgical Engineering/ Materials Science

2. Advanced degrees with specialization in Welding Technology/ fabrication is highly desirable.

3. 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in the welding industry specifically in the technical sales and application support for welding consumables.

4. Travel to customers place as per requirement (40 - 60%).




Required Skills:

1. A Bachelors or Masters degree in Metallurgical Engineering/ Materials Science 2. Advanced degrees with specialization in Welding Technology/ fabrication is highly desirable. 3. 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in the welding industry specifically in the technical sales and application support for welding consumables. 4. Travel to customers place as per requirement (40 - 60%).


Required Education:

Candidates must hold a minimum of a degree in Mechanical Engineering Welding Technology or Metallurgy.
