The nursing program at Iowa State University is hiring a part-time Lecturer to develop and teach an undergraduate-level Nursing Global Health course in spring 2026 for the RN-to-BSN curriculum.
The Lecturer will be responsible in collaboration with the Director of Nursing Education and nursing faculty to develop the course content. This will include modules readings multimedia resources assessments and discussion prompts; and incorporation of current global health data case studies and policy alignment with the overall curriculum all content will integrate Open Educational Resources (OER) and other accessible materials to maintain 100% OER resources ensure content relevancy and promote student-centered learning that adapts to a wide range of student needs and experiences.
The Lecturer will be the instructor of record for the course offered via a hybrid approach (on campus and online) in the spring 2026 semester (Jan 20 May 15). It is expected that the Lecturer will participate in course review and revision based on feedback and evaluation metrics meet project deadlines and maintain regular communication with the course development team.
To ensure adequate time for course preparation this position has an anticipated start date in early December 2025.

Masters degree in Nursing Public Health Global Health or a related field.
Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
Demonstrated experience in global health nursing education or related practice.
Experience teaching at the undergraduate level.
Familiarity with OER and hybrid teaching formats.
Commitment to inclusive and learner-responsive pedagogy.
Knowledge of global health systems social determinants of health and culturally grounded care.
Experience working in international or cross-cultural healthcare settings.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
