Job Overview
The Director of Financial Reporting will oversee all financial reporting activities ensuring accuracy compliance and timely delivery. This role partners closely with Finance Accounting and senior leadership to support corporate strategy cash flow management capital deployment and expense oversight.
This leader will direct FP&A functions across analysis forecasting and strategic initiatives and must be able to manage the full spectrum of reporting and analysis in a fast-growing dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the financial reporting function ensuring compliance with Special-Purpose and GAAP standards.
Serve as a strategic partner to executives supporting goal-setting budgeting and variance analysis.
Support the CFO in producing Board reporting packages and ad hoc presentations/forecasts.
Oversee preparation and filing of quarterly and annual financial statements in line with regulatory requirements.
Drive improvements in financial reporting technology optimizing Planful and BlackLine and evaluating new tools.
Support the rollout of new partners and sales channels.
Provide technical accounting guidance for complex transactions.
Assist with internal and external audit requests.
Requirements
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.
FP&A management experience in a fast-paced environment; Private Equity experience preferred.
Big 4 consulting or investment banking background is a plus.
Strong understanding of insurance-related accounting (preferred).
Experience working at an insurance company or supporting insurance clients.
Proficiency in financial reporting tools; advanced Excel required.
U.S. work authorization and ability to pass a background check.

Required Skills:
FP&A management experience within a fast-paced environment preferably Private Equity owned; Background in Big 4 accounting consulting or banking a plus Developed understanding of insurance related accounting concepts a plus. Prior experience with an insurance company or service of insurance clients Proficiency in reporting systems and tools; advanced Excel skills are required Must be authorized to work in the U.S Must be able to successfully pass a background check
