About the role

This role contributes to the success of the City by ensuring Hobarts parking systems are reliable safe and user-friendly. As a Parking Technician youll play a key part in keeping our city moving by maintaining and servicing parking technology across on-street and off-street locations.

Role accountabilities include:

  • Maintaining the functionality and reliability of parking equipment to support smooth traffic flow and customer convenience.
  • Responding promptly to faults and breakdowns to minimise disruption for the community.
  • Supporting innovation in parking technology and contributing ideas for system improvements.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety standards and delivering work that reflects the Citys values.
  • Providing clear courteous communication when assisting internal teams and external customers.

About you

Youre a practical problem-solver who enjoys working with technology and delivering reliable services for the community. To thrive in this role youll bring:

  • A Certificate III in Electronic Engineering (or similar) and a current drivers licence.
  • Hands-on experience maintaining and repairing electronic or mechanical equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Clear communication skills to interact with colleagues and customers effectively.
  • A commitment to safety flexibility to join an on-call roster and alignment with the Citys values.
