About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Practice Assistant to join our Brisbane Banking & Finance this role you will provide dedicated support to Partners Aaron Bourke and Paul McBride as well as the broader team.

This full-time permanent opportunity would suit someone who thrives on taking initiative anticipating the needs of others and ensuring the smooth running of a busy practice. With strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail you will help keep the team one step ahead.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing formatting and proofreading legal documents
  • Managing complex diaries inboxes and travel arrangements
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders and clients
  • Handling billing expenses and matter reporting
  • Matter management including file opening/closing archiving and electronic/physical filing
  • Printing scanning and providing general administrative support as required

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety takes ownership of their work and can balance competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

About You

To succeed in this role you will bring:

  • Minimum 3 years experience in a legal support role (Legal Assistant Practice Assistant Legal Executive or Legal Secretary)
  • Strong understanding of legal billing processes; experience with Elite 3E highly regarded
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities with ease
  • Typing speed of 70 wpm
  • Advanced proficiency in Outlook Word Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with sound judgment and exceptional attention to detail
  • Clear confident communication skills with the ability to adapt your style to various audiences
  • A collaborative approach and well-developed interpersonal skills
