Were currently looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to support the companys cash flow by accurately posting payments maintaining organized records and providing responsive customer and branch support. This role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to manage a high volume of transactions.
What Youll Do
Process customer payments (ACH and checks) and apply them to the correct accounts and invoices
Retrieve banking reports and match ACH payments to remittances received by email
Open sort and log incoming checks into Excel
Deposit checks using remote deposit and verify confirmation reports
Research and resolve payment discrepancies with branches and customers
Monitor email for POAs remittances customer requests and branch support needs
Answer phone calls from customers and branches and provide account assistance
Review and process credit applications; update customer accounts with approved information
Print and mail monthly customer account statements
Maintain organized records
Assist with audits clean-up tasks and accounting projects as needed
What Youll Bring (Requirements)
- High school diploma or GED required; additional business or accounting coursework preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in accounts receivable accounting support or administrative financial work.
- Proficiency in Excel online banking systems remote deposit tools and accounting/ERP software.
- Excellent attention to detail organizational and multitasking skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Comfort with handling competing priorities deadlines and frequent interruptions.
- Focus on maintaining confidentiality of financial and customer information.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the heavy duty truck distribution or automotive industry.
Physical and Work Environment Requirements
- Office environment with regular use of a computer phone and standard office equipment.
- Ability to focus on detailed data entry and transactional work for extended periods.
- Frequent sitting; occasional standing walking bending reaching and lifting up to 20 pounds.
