Role: Senior Atlassian Administrator Location: Austin TX- hybrid model

The client is seeking a contract Senior Atlassian Administrator who will work on Atlassian ecosystem focusing on Jira and Confluence Cloud. This person is considered a technical subject matter expert for the cloud platform and related add-ons and ancillary systems. They perform complex tasks such as integrations reporting and developing workflows to support new business requirements and serve as the designer for the best configuration and implementation of new functionality.
Job Responsibilities:
Performs IT functions such as design evaluation testing debugging implementation and integration of application programs supporting Atlassian Cloud suite and related processes and operations.
Manages projects to enhance and improve our Atlassian Cloud tools as prioritized by business partners. For example creating advanced automation based upon business needs.
Analyzes acquires installs modifies and supports add-ons for the Atlassian Cloud.
Serves as an Atlassian Cloud technical expert performing complex tasks such as integrations reporting developing workflows and ensuring system integrity.
Technical lead for the implementation of new functionality and feature requests.
Develops the strategic roadmap and synchronizes with related enterprise portfolio ecosystems
Troubleshoots incidents or issues to identify root cause fix issues and mitigate future risks
Stays up to date on releases and functionality to help utilize the latest features to align the technical roadmap to the business needs
Responsible for ensuring that all security availability confidentiality and privacy policies and controls are adhered to
Proactively communicates and leads the key relationships among business stakeholders related to Jira and Confluence Cloud
Manages their individual work within Agile practices allowing visibility to team and business stakeholders for progress and timelines.
Experience and Knowledge
Minimum 8 years of experience in technical application analysis with 5 years specifically with Jira and Confluence Cloud required
Typically requires a bachelors degree in Business Information Technology or Computer Science
Experience setting up and managing JSM required
Advanced knowledge of Atlassian Cloud applications and certification course work a plus
Ability to effectively work with business Superusers IT business analysts and project managers to ensure consistency with strategic direction
Understanding of change management principles associated with new technology implementations
Familiarity and experience working in an Agile environment
Understanding of project management principles
Excellent verbal written and interpersonal skills
Self-starter with proven ability to deliver results
Expert proficiency with Office productivity tools such as PowerPoint Visio Word Excel and Outlook
Skills:
Complex troubleshooting in a mission critical production environment.
IT Customer Service/Problem Management Resolution experience.
Education/Experience:
Bachelors degree in a technical field such as computer science computer engineering or related field required.
5-8 years experience required.
