Job Summary

Our client invites applications from qualified and experienced professionals for the position of Project Manager on a Three (3)-year contract. The role requires strong leadership project coordination and stakeholder management skills.

Key responsibilities:

Provide project management services for the construction
Engaging with the Relevant Municipality and the Eastern Cape Heritage Department to ensure required approvals are in place
The company will run a separate procurement process to appoint a designated contractor for the building works.
The Professional Project Manager should be available for meetings as and when required by the MBTC as well as be on site within two hours in case of an emergency.Develop and or manage Scope and scope creep/change
Manage the project budget and always keep it in line with the budget limits/ available funds
Draw /or ensure a project schedule is drawn and adhered to at all times
Risk management: Identify risk quantify and mitigate
Quality management according to the available industry ISO specifications
Stakeholder Management: Identify set up relevant committees involve etc.
Procurement Management in conjunction with the SCM Unit
Human Resource Management involved in the project and
Communication Management entailed in the Project
Management of the general repairs works including electrical and mechanical installation.
Preparing of Bill of Quantities for all identified projects.(this wills set him up for failure as this is the core function of a qualified QS)
Project progress reports and Documentation
Contract Administration and Inspection
Close Out

Requirements

Registration with South African Council for the Project and Construction Management Professions (SACPCMP)

Relevant industry Experience

5 years

Project Manager (PMP registered)
Mechanical Engineer (including an HVAC expert) (ECSA Registered)
Quantity Surveyor (ASAQS registered)
Electrical Engineer (ECSA Registered)
Fire Specialist Engineer (Professional Registration)
Health & Safety Consultant (SACPCMP registered)
Architect Heritage Consultant
Structural Engineer (ECSA Registered)

Required Skills:
