Responsibilities
- Repairing damaged body parts on vehicles according to dealership and factory specifications.
- Restoring vehicles to pre-accident or like-new condition.
- Performing tasks such as sanding painting and using frame straightening equipment.
- Aligning frames to manufacturer specifications.
- Working with other repairers in a team environment.
- Estimating repair costs and managing parts replacement.
Skills and qualifications
- Successful completion of a technical school program or apprenticeship is often preferred.
- Experience in collision repair is beneficial.
- Familiarity with tools and equipment such as frame machines paint booths and welding gear.
- Proficiency with auto estimating software like CCC ONE is a plus.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities are crucial for delivering high-quality repairs.
- Strong communication skills are important for interacting with customers and team members.
- Any certification is often a preferred credential.
- A valid drivers license is usually required.
