Some Job Responsibilities are:

• We are looking for experienced Diesel Mechanics with the knowledge and leadership to grow our business.
• The day-to-day duties include diagnosing and preparing vehicles for repairs performing repair work with the utmost of skill and accuracy and completing all duties in a timely manner.
• Operate various manufacturer computer programs to run diagnostic tests.
• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
• Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnose maintain and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine transmission electrical steering suspension brakes air conditioning etc.
• Perform routine maintenance on trucks: rotating tires changing engine oil replacing oil and fuel filters inflating tires replacing worn brake pads and shoes replace clutches.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed.
• Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
• Willingness to contribute to the team by participating in ongoing training
• Perform all work adhering to all safety and maintenance policies; including but not limited to the correct selection and use of appropriate tools PPE machine guarding and established best safety practice.
• Regular predictable attendance is an essential function of the job

Qualifications needed are:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2-5 years of Service Technician experience required
• A or B level qualification including Diagnostic Electrical and Engine Repair preferred and a PLUS
• ASE Certification preferred and a BIG PLUS
• Technical Training preferred and a PLUS
• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to learn new technology repair and service procedures and specifications
• Ability to lift 50-75 lbs. or more with or without assistance
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic written and verbal communication skills
• Valid drivers license and clean driving record
• Ability to work in a shop environment that is affected by frequently changing temperatures.
• Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies
• Positive friendly attitude along with an eagerness to continue to learn and keep up with certifications and training
