We are seeking a dedicated candidate Healthcare Assistant - HCA to join our team in providing personalized care and support to individuals living with dementia in our Nursing Home based in Co Dublin.
Permanent / Full or Part-time
Responsibilities
Support the delivery of high-quality holistic care that upholds each residents dignity and equality.
Perform delegated care tasks and assist with all activities of daily living including washing toileting dressing dining social engagement conversation and communication support.
Maintain each residents privacy and dignity while encouraging their independence.
Provide focused assistance to residents with reduced mobility.
Follow individual care plans stay informed about residents needs and report any physical or mental changes to nursing staff immediately.
Immediately report any incident or potential risk that could affect the health or safety of residents or visitors.
Help ensure a safe environment for residents staff and visitors.
Communicate clearly and respectfully with residents and their families or representatives.
Support and enhance the quality of resident activities and events.
Requirements
QQI Level 5 in Healthcare (or equivalent).
At least two years of experience working in elder care.
Alternatively a Nursing Allied Health or Healthcare-related degree.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Effective supervisory skills with the ability to motivate others.
