Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly detail-oriented LeadFinishing& Mastering Technician to join our Post Production team at Blazing Griffin. This 12-month maternity cover role will oversee the creation mastering QC and delivery of final assets for broadcast and streaming platforms. The successful candidate will ensure that all outputs meet the highest creative and technical standards supporting a wide range of scripted and unscripted projects.
You will play a key roleas the leadwithin thefinishingand mastering department; maintaining delivery standards supporting technical workflows and mentoring team members where required.

Key Responsibilities

• Finishing& Mastering
  Oversee and perform final mastering for UK and international broadcast and streaming services including UHD HDR and IMF packages.
• Conduct and review quality control (QC) checks to ensure all deliverables meet client broadcaster and platform specifications.
• Produce detailed QC and delivery reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously ensuring all deliverables meet deadlines and technical standards.
• Technical & Operational Oversight
• Lead thefinishingand mastering pipeline across DaVinci Resolve Avid Media Composer and Cortex.
• Collaborate closely with craft dubbing and production management teams to maintain efficient workflows and clear communication across departments.
• Support the Post Post Production Management teams in meeting delivery requirements.
• Advise on and implement improvements tofinishingworkflows ensuring adherence to industry best practices technical specifications and content security policies.
• Maintain accurate records of all deliverables specifications and approval stages.
• Team Support & Quality Leadership
• Provide mentoring and guidance to junior technicians andfinishingassistants where appropriate.
• Ensure consistent quality and attention to detail across allfinishingand mastering tasks.
• Contribute to departmental training and process documentation.

Required Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in post-production masteringfinishing or technical operations.
• Proven experience with DaVinci Resolve Avid Media Composer and Cortex.
• Strong technical knowledge of broadcast and streaming specifications file formats codecs color spaces and metadata requirements.
• Demonstrated experience working with UHD HDR and IMF workflows.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple concurrent projects.
