We are on the lookout for an experienced Litigation & Trial Attorney specialized in civil commercial insurance and bad faith matters to join a dynamic litigation team. This senior position is ideal for a legal professional who excels at managing complex legal files from start to finish with minimal oversight. Your expertise will help shape defense strategies for high-stakes cases focusing on insurance coverage disputes extra-contractual liability claims and a broad range of commercial litigation matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of case strategies.
- Conduct thorough legal research and draft critical dispositive motions.
- Serve as the primary advocate in depositions mediations and oral arguments in both Federal and State courts.
- Translate complex legal theories into practical business-focused advice for clients.
- Take charge of your caseload driving matters to successful outcomes with precision and confidence.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Active and current licensure to practice law in the State of Washington.
- Around 8 to 12 years of courtroom litigation experience with a focus on complex civil litigation (insurance defense)
- Proven ability to manage robust caseloads with solid ESI and knowledge of modern legal tech tools
REQUIRED CREDENTIALS
- A JD from an accredited ABA Law School with acceptable grades
- Admission to the Oregon State Bar or ability to waive in by comity)
- Trial experience in the court room before a judge and making detailed arguments.
- Zealously representing your client-base and caseload
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Significant First Chair trial experience showcasing leadership in cases.
- In-depth knowledge of insurance bad faith defense and complex coverage analysis.
- Experience in a large law firm or specialized litigation boutique is highly desirable.
- A portable book of business is favorable supported by a robust cross-selling platform.
