Job title: Registered Nurse - UW Health Specialty Clinic
Location: UW Health Specialty Clinic - Mauston WI
Schedules Available: Full-time 80 hours per pay period; 8:00am-4:30pm
Weekend rotation: No weekends
Holiday rotation: Paid Time Off for Holidays
Position Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) position assists with day-to-day nursing activities. The RN works collaboratively as an active member of the interprofessional team. Systematically and continuously collects and assess data related to patient health status to develop execute and evaluate the plan of care. Work independently within their scope of practice to achieve clinical outcomes. This position requires accuracy attention to detail and a passion for providing exceptional healthcare.
Position Responsibilities/Skills:
- Utilizes data to continuously meet care coordination needs across settings in conjunction with the patient family and/or other care providers.
- Assumes responsibility and accountability for affective managing nursing care of individual patients.
- Documents nursing assessment and interventions to reflect comprehensive and integrated approach to patient care.
- Assist or perform procedures (e.g. ECGs catheter changes injections etc.)
- Telephone My chart and in-person triage.
- Chart prep and paperwork including prior authorizations FMLA CMN forms etc.
- Assist with medication management (e.g. medication renewals)
- Attend daily huddles monthly PCS meetings monthly clinic meetings CCM and RWHC meetings etc.
- Serve as a mentor and resource to others.
- Perform other duties as requested.
Position Requirements:
- Two-year degree in nursing required. Four-year degree preferred.
- Must hold and maintain nursing license.
- CPR/BLS certification required.
- 1 years of related work experience required.
- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
- Intermediate proficiency with computers is required
- Comprehensive nursing skills and knowledge of equipment such as retinal scanners EKG etc.
- Thorough understanding of triage.
- Strong quantitative and analytical competency.
- Excellent verbal written and presentation skills.
- Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills.
