Job Summary
Position Summary
Incumbent in this position will have the overall responsibility of administration and management in the Division of Animal Care at the Louisiana State University Health in New Orleans Louisiana. The incumbent will also serve on the IACUC as the Attending Veterinarian for all research animals on LSUHSCs campus. The Division of Animal Care is an AAALAC accredited institution composed of three animal facilities with a total of 33319 square feet. The present number of investigators utilizing these facilities is 95. The investigators are involved in 213 research projects. The yearly average number of animals used at LSUHSC is in excess of 20000.
