About You
You are a passionate Android Developer who enjoys building high-quality native apps that deliver excellent user experiences. You thrive in mobile-first environments take ownership of technical decisions and stay active in the constantly evolving Android ecosystem. You are proactive collaborative and committed to clean architecture performance and scalable solutions.
You bring to Applaudo the following competencies:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Computer Engineering or related field or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience developing native Android applications.
- Strong experience with Kotlin and Android Jetpack Compose.
- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Design and Android platform fundamentals.
- Good understanding of Clean Architecture and MVVM design patterns.
- Experience consuming RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs.
- Familiarity with client/server architecture and modern mobile networking practices.
- Experience working with Git or similar version control systems.
- Experience with XML and JSON data handling.
- Knowledge of Android best practices UI/UX guidelines emerging technologies and architecture trends.
- Ability to work in Agile environments and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Flexibility to work under rotating schedules or on-call when needed.
- English proficiency is required as you will collaborate directly with US-based clients.
You will be accountable for the following responsibilities:
- Build and maintain native Android applications following best practices and coding standards.
- Design develop and consume APIs while ensuring security reliability and performance.
- Collaborate with designers developers and product managers to transform requirements into high-quality features and user experiences.
- Produce prototypes to validate concepts test emerging technologies and support product innovation.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to estimation planning and continuous improvement.
- Follow and apply Google Material Design guidelines and UI/UX best practices.
- Ensure code quality through testing debugging code reviews and refactoring as needed.
