The Role: Lead Software Developer/Engineer

The Team: Our Cloud Engineering and Shared Services (CESS) team empowers technology teams across the organization to deliver exceptional business outcomes faster and more efficiently. We drive standardization across cloud infrastructure tooling and platforms while providing deep technical expertise that enables vertical teams to focus on innovation rather than foundational concerns. Operating in a collaborative Agile environment with global reach were the backbone that accelerates product development through shared solutions and best practices.

The Impact: In this Lead Software Engineer role youll drive implementation of enterprise-scale solutions that accelerate product delivery across teams while making key contribution through software development. Youll enable faster market entry without sacrificing quality through innovative technology implementations and standardized platforms. This position offers exposure to diverse business units and the opportunity to solve complex challenges using cutting-edge technologies directly influencing how products reach customers more efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  • Architect design and implement innovative scalable maintainable and adaptive software solutions for complex business requirements.
  • Developing solutions and tools to improve process efficiency.
  • Mentor a team of engineers (as required) fostering a culture of trust continuous growth and collaborative problem-solving.
  • Collaborate with business partners to understand requirements ensuring technical solutions align with business goals.
  • Manage and improve existing software solutions ensuring high performance and scalability.
  • Participate actively in all Agile scrum ceremonies contributing to the continuous improvement of team processes.
  • Produce comprehensive technical design documents and conduct technical walkthroughs.

What Were Looking For:

  • Bachelors or higher qualification in Computer Science Information Systems or equivalent is preferred.
  • 8 years of experience in software development with a solid understanding of coding and debugging procedures.
  • A passionate intelligent and articulate developer with a quality-first mindset and a strong background in developing products on a large scale.
  • Strong experience in Python building re-usable development and testing frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience in full-stack development (Java/JavaScript/TypeScript/React).
  • Experience in modern web development technologies including proficiency in programming languages and UI frameworks as well as experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Hands-on experience in cloud technologies like AWS/Azure containers etc.
  • Hands-on experience in architecting and managing cloud infrastructure.
  • Superior knowledge of system architecture object-oriented design and design patterns.
  • Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines such as Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
  • Knowledge of database concepts exposure to SQL/PL-SQL writing SQL queries stored procedures and RDBMS. Experience in setting up and architecting the Database layer.
  • Should understand non-functional like performance scalability etc. aspect of the application.
  • Able to manage dependencies and timely manage priority.
  • Excellent analytical thinking interpersonal skills and both oral and written communication skills with a strong ability to influence both IT and business partners.
  • Excellent problem solving analytical and technical troubleshooting skills.
