Job Summary

ING Australia are looking to recruit a Regulatory Initiative Lead to work with our Financial Health team in the COO division on a 12-month fixed term contract.

The Financial Health team is responsible for managing ING Australias teams working on financial hardship and collections activities with significant regulatory oversight. The Regulatory Initiative Lead is an expert in the design and delivery of regulatory changes and is a senior member of the Financial Health management team. This is a key role working on key strategic programs with high visibility and focus across ING Australias business.

The role is responsible for ensuring ING deliver key actions as agreed with our regulators.

What youll do

  • Design lead and deliver key regulatory initiatives/actions within strategic programs
  • Design lead and implement multiple initiatives/actions in parallel in relation to the hardship and collections functions
  • Interpret and analyse complex business problems and design appropriate solutions across the business
  • Contribute to the implementation of the new hardship system including requirements gathering testing implementation and change management
  • Facilitate stakeholder workshops to design optimal solutions for customers and efficient processes for internal teams whilst adhering to regulatory requirements and obligations
  • Work across multiple domains in the end-to-end value chain and navigate challenges whilst moving at a fast pace
  • Understand risk and compliance frameworks and translate business requirements for
  • implementation as it relates to the delivery of initiatives/actions
  • Contribute and engage to regulatory requests within agreed timeframes
  • Through delivery and design strengthen business controls to ensure regulatory and policy obligations are met
  • Manage end-to-end approvals for initiatives/actions ensuring regulatory commitment are met including ongoing business sustainability


What were looking for

  • 10 years experience delivering change / projects / initiatives
  • 10 years experience in retail banking or financial services preferably mortgage lending including sales credit and documentary experience
  • Degree qualification in a business management or finance discipline
  • Proven experience in successful initiation and implementation of business process improvements and technology implementation
  • Previous experience in delivering complex cross-functional initiatives in a highly regulated environment
  • Previous experience in end-to-end project management using Agile methodology.
  • Previous experience in business process re-engineering system enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Demonstrated experience in Financial Services system projects
  • Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement and deep understanding of the regulatory framework impacting relevant financial services domains
