The Role

Are you passionate about making a positive impact on housing poverty Do you have a knack for maintenance and repairs We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled and dedicated Trade Assistant to join our Internal Maintenance Service (IMS) team at Community Housing Ltd.

As a Trade Assistant you will play a vital role in supporting our vision of a world without housing poverty by ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of CHL properties in the region by undertaking general handy man duties including repairs and maintenance hands-on gardening and cleaning tasks. Working closely with our IMS team you will contribute to maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for our clients.

This role is a fixed-term contract until December 2026.

About You

If you are a dedicated individual with a passion for contributing to a greater cause and possess the technical skills to excel in property maintenance we want to hear from you!

Essential Criteria:

  • Trade qualified in relevant discipline desired but not essential
  • Commitment to the right of every person to good quality housing
  • White card (or ability to obtain)
  • Current Drivers License (mandatory)
  • Satisfactory Police and Working With Childrens Check

Please note that a satisfactory police check is required for all staff and those with client related responsibilities are required to provide a NDIS and Working with Children Check (WWCC).
