Casual Food Studies Assistant

We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Food Studies Assistant to join our team.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in assisting both teachers and students during our Food Studies practical lessons.

In this position you would be responsible for the organisation and preparation of equipment resources and ingredients while maintaining a hygienic and safe learning environment.

The Role:

This is a casual position commencing in Term 1 2026.

• Providing support to teachers and students during practical lessons
• Prepare ingredients and equipment for classes
• Maintain the weekly class schedule
• Ensure the Food Studies classroom and preparation areas maintained in a hygienic and safe manner
• Ad hoc administrative duties

The Person:

• Previous experience in a similar role within a school setting is desirable
• Current safe food handling certificate
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Exceptional time-management and problem-solving abilities

A valid Employee Working with Children Check is a requirement of employment for this position.
