This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys financial accuracy problem-solving and contributing to the smooth operational running of a high-performing school.

The Role

As a School Finance Officer you will play an essential part in ensuring that the schools financial processes remain efficient compliant and accurate. Working collaboratively with the School Business Manager finance assistant and wider operations team you will support a range of financial activities that underpin the schools daily functioning.

Your responsibilities will include:

Processing invoices purchase orders credit notes and payments

Monitoring departmental budgets and supporting staff with financial queries

Managing account reconciliations banking and income processing

Maintaining a precise and audit-ready set of financial records

Supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts and year-end returns

Overseeing financial compliance linked to school trips parental contributions and internal funds

Liaising with suppliers auditors and the trust finance team

Supporting payroll checks and HR remuneration-related documentation

Contributing to the implementation of new financial procedures and system upgrades

    This role suits someone who enjoys a combination of routine processes and day-to-day variation and who takes pride in delivering high-quality financial support.
