Job Summary:

The end-client is seeking an experienced Data Modeler with strong expertise in Teradata and Erwin Data Modeler.
The selected candidate will design develop and maintain enterprise data models that support analytical operational and reporting requirements across large-scale data warehouse environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Design build and maintain logical and physical data models for Teradata-based data warehouses and data marts.
Develop and maintain metadata data dictionaries and documentation using Erwin Data Modeler.
Translate business and functional requirements into scalable high-performing database structures.
Ensure data modeling standards naming conventions and best practices are consistently applied.
Collaborate with data architects ETL developers and business analysts to align models with integration and transformation needs.
Conduct data profiling source-to-target analysis and impact analysis for model changes.
Optimize data structures for performance scalability and long-term maintainability.
Support data governance metadata management and data quality improvement initiatives.
Participate in design reviews code reviews and architecture discussions.
Provide subject-matter expertise for production teams addressing model-related issues and enhancements.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems or related discipline.
12 years of experience in data modeling for large-scale data warehouse or enterprise environments.
Strong hands-on experience with Teradata databases and architecture.
Expertise in Erwin Data Modeler / Erwin Model Mart.
Strong understanding of normalized denormalized and dimensional modeling techniques (Star/Snowflake schemas).
Experience working with ETL/ELT teams and understanding of data integration principles.
Solid SQL skills with knowledge of performance tuning and query optimization.
Experience with metadata management and data governance practices.
Excellent analytical communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with cloud data platforms such as AWS Azure or GCP.
Exposure to BI tools (Tableau Power BI SAP BO etc.).
Familiarity with Agile and DevOps delivery models.
