Job Summary (Senior Epic Trainer) List Format
- Analyze customer training needs for Epic applications.
- Develop organize and deliver training services on assigned Epic applications.
- Master assigned Epic applications and related clinical/operational workflows.
- Develop training materials and curricula for various audiences including physicians using both traditional and computer-based methods.
- Manage registration and certification processes for trainees.
- Provide classroom virtual and one-on-one training sessions.
- Collaborate with project managers and key stakeholders to ensure training programs meet organizational and audience needs.
- Oversee Epic training program for assigned application(s) including environment build and Super User program support.
- Provide ongoing end-user support including at-the-elbow/onsite support and rounding with users to inform curriculum updates.
- Support go-live events with onsite presence as required (may include weekends daytime and overnight shifts; travel may be needed).
- Communicate effectively across clinical operational informatics and analyst teams; act as liaison for training-related initiatives.
- Identify and assist with change management processes related to training and system adoption.
- Mentor and provide guidance to less-experienced training specialists and Super Users.
- Continuously evaluate and improve training curricula based on user feedback observations research and best practices.
- Promote innovation new ideas and the adoption of new technologies within training programs.
Qualifications (Summary):
- Bachelors degree required; Masters degree preferred.
- 5 years relevant experience in training analysis development and delivery (required).
- Experience in healthcare education or information systems (preferred).
- Epic Credentialed Trainer certification (required 1 year).
- Strong communication collaboration and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently and lead others.
