Job Summary
Child Health Research Centre
Part-time (60%) fixed-term position through to June 2026
Base salary will be in the range $102565.37 - $111686.39 17% Superannuation (HEW Level 7)

About This Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Occupational Therapist to provide clinical research support to The Neurodevelopmental Clinic as part of a collaborative research program conducted with Childrens Health Queensland The Murri School Inala Indigenous Health and Cherbourg Community Health.
This role is essential to supporting high-quality clinical research outcomes and expanding assessment and diagnostic services for Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) across Queensland. The position is physically based at the Child Health Research Centre.
Key responsibilities will include:
Provide high-level administrative communication and consultative support to effectively engage with research teams participants and multidisciplinary health staff.
Conduct neurodevelopmental assessments maintain accurate records and contribute to data scoring entry and reporting for research outcomes.
Provide clinical advice to support service delivery improvements and research enhancement opportunities.
Deliver clinical research support to build capability ensure high-quality data collection and uphold professional and ethical standards.
Develop and maintain strong stakeholder networks to support service delivery and research opportunities across southern and central Queensland.
This position includes regular local travel within the Brisbane region as well as regional travel approximately once per month.

About You
Our ideal candidate will bring strong clinical expertise excellent communication skills and a passion for supporting meaningful neurodevelopmental research.
Completion of a tertiary qualification with at least four years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Current and ongoing AHPRA registration.
Eligibility for credentialing within Queensland Health facilities.
High-level clinical knowledge and skills in conducting neurodevelopmental assessments.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships manage sensitive clinical research matters and engage with diverse participants and stakeholders.
Strong computer literacy including the Microsoft Office suite.
Proven administrative and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
A strong understanding of confidentiality privacy and ethical data-handling requirements.
Desirable
Clinical interest or experience working with children and adolescents with prenatal alcohol exposure or FASD.
Prior experience in clinical research.
The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks including: right to work in Australia criminal check and AHPRA registration
