Our trusted Aspect Therapy team aim to support and empower individuals on the spectrum and their families/support network to bring about meaningful change based on functional goals. This role is based at Aspect South East Sydney school which has base sites at Peakhurst and Marrickville as well as a number of satellite classes (e.g. Leichardt Croydon Regents Park).
The Occupational Therapist would work closely with the Learning Support Team to achieve the best outcomes for students through individual whole class and whole school supports. We work in partnership with the individual and their families/support network to identify strengths areas of need and develop support strategies that build capabilities and work with participants interests. Pre-purchased annual leave is available and will be considered for candidates who may prefer to only work school terms.
Qualifications :
What you bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in occupational therapy
- At least 1 year of relevant experience working as an Occupational Therapist
- Fully registered with AHPRA
- Current drivers licence use of own vehicle for business purposes (reimbursed per km) and willingness to travel from your base at Aspect South East Sydney School (Peakhurst and Marrickville) to local satellite classes.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check clearance
- Working with Children Check for paid employment for the state you reside in
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module Quality Safety and You certificate. If you have not already completed the free module click here to access it.
- You may be required to provide an international police clearance
