Job Description
We are looking for a seasoned leader Head of Business Intelligence with an experience in leading & scaling the department on behalf of a highly dynamic and incredibly exciting company within the gaming this role you will work closely with C-levels & manage the scalable BI & Data team and deliver direct strategies to the groups development.
Location: Hybrid - Malta
Responsibilities:
As a Head of Business Intelligence your broad responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Strategic Leadership
- Align all BI initiatives with company-wide goals and priorities.
- Serve as a key partner to senior leadership driving data-driven decision-making.
- Define data requirements and analytical frameworks that support business expansion.
- Lead mentor and grow a high-performing BI team.
- Own the BI roadmap and ensure timely execution of projects.
- Standardize methodologies reporting practices and data quality processes.
- Strengthen data architecture reporting layers and analytical models.
- Maintain strong data governance ensuring accuracy consistency and accessibility.
- Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders on data infrastructure improvements.
- Turn complex data into clear actionable insights for non-technical audiences.
- Oversee dashboards reporting tools and self-service analytics adoption.
- Evaluate BI tools and continuously improve analytical capabilities across the organization.
Requirements:
- 7 years of experience in Business Intelligence Data Analytics or Data Strategy roles.
- Proven experience leading BI data or analytics teamsideally within a fast-growing mid-size tech or digital company.
- Strong track record of managing BI roadmaps data models reporting frameworks and analytical tools.
- Demonstrated success in partnering with C-level stakeholders and influencing strategic decisions through data.
- Experience in designing predictive models forecasting frameworks and advanced analytical solutions is highly preferred.
- Solid working knowledge of modern BI technologies (e.g. Power BI Tableau Looker Qlik or similar) and data warehousing tools.
- Strong understanding of data architecture data governance and scalable reporting structures.
- Ability to set clear performance goals and ensure accountability across BI functions.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex ideas for non-technical stakeholders.
- Strategic analytical and commercially minded approach.
