Job Summary

Scrum Master 12 Month Contract

Start Date: 5 January 2026
Location: Johannesburg (Hybrid)
Contract Duration: 12 Months

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Scrum Master to join their Agile Delivery team on a 12-month contract. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving agile ways of working facilitating sprint ceremonies removing impediments and ensuring effective collaboration across cross-functional squads.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups sprint planning retrospectives and reviews).
Support multiple Agile teams by promoting Agile principles practices and continuous improvement.
Remove blockers and ensure that squads are fully enabled to deliver sprint commitments.
Work closely with Product Owners and stakeholders to prioritise work and maintain a healthy backlog.
Monitor team performance metrics and use data to guide improvements.
Foster a culture of transparency trust and accountability within the team.
Identify and mitigate risks affecting delivery timelines.
Ensure alignment between business priorities and delivery output.

Minimum Requirements

5 years experience working as a Scrum Master within Agile environments.
Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum Kanban SAFe).
Proven ability to work across multiple squads in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment.
Certification advantageous (CSM PSM SAFe Scrum Master).
Excellent communication facilitation and conflict-resolution skills.
Ability to work independently manage pressure and drive outcomes.
Strong stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration experience.
