About the position

Reporting to the Centre Director acts as an integral member of the Kids & Company team to assist in the overall management of day-to-day operations of all food preparation and cooking at the kitchen through the conscientious application of Kids & Company standards to achieve our mission statement.

Responsibilities

Responsible for cooking baking and food preparation
Ensure safe food storage and disposal including maintaining temperature logs.
Cook is responsible for preparing meals and snacks for children with special dietary needs
Maintain childrens allergy list regularly.
Weekly ordering and receiving all food supplies and replenishing dishware and cookware
Follow food portioning guidelines and maintain appropriate food inventory
Complies with all health regulations and the companys best practices
Upkeep kitchen cleaning schedule including dishwashing daily weekly and monthly duties
Occasionally required to prepare food for field trips school-age programs and community events.
Duties and responsibilities may change from time to time on the needs of the daycare centers.

What you need

Current Food Handler Certification
Experience working with vulnerable populations
Experience in a daycare environment would be an asset.
Valid drivers license and a clean drivers abstract.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Require a clean criminal record check
Ability to push pull and lift to 45 pounds
