The BGS Government Services Engineering Team is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) to lead the Shipside Integrated Product Team and several Production Engineering Teams supporting USN and USAF Programs at San Antonio TX. This team provides comprehensive engineering support for the modification repair and overhaul of many different Boeing products to include C-17 F-15 VC-25 A/B and many more.

Selected candidate must be able to work in a high visible fast-paced diverse work environment supporting MRO Transformational initiatives. The candidate will oversee guide and influence the technical leadership and the production engineering teams. This position is accountable to the USN/MRO Engineering Director within BGS Government Services for program execution excellence and safety. The candidate must have a strong technical background business acumen interpersonal and communication skills. You will be managing a highly skilled team of Liaising Engineering Manufacturing Engineering Industrial Engineering Tool Engineering and CNC programming personnel to develop real time solutions to emergent and complex issues. Position is in San Antonio TX.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Interacts with senior leaders or executives on Program execution and performance.
  • Oversee the use of engineering metrics to report first time quality on time delivery performance and throughput of engineering products and deliverables. Validate cost reduction initiatives and process improvements.
  • Monitor/Oversight of technical risk management.
  • Lead and manage multi-disciplined Production Engineering teams
  • Lead a team responsible for oversight and coordination of technical solutions processes and production issues in coordination with Operations Supplier Quality Supplier Management and Program Management

Basic Qualifications (Required Education Skills and Experience)

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology) Computer Science Data Science Mathematics Physics Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 1 years of experience working with cross-functional or cross-organizational teams to develop and implement plans schedules or solutions
  • 5 years of experience in leading Managing engineering teams
  • Prior Experience working with DoD Customers
  • 1 years of experience with Proposals
  • EVM/CAM Experience
  • Capable to travel 25% of the time
  • Experience building relationships and partnering with customers and all levels of employees including executives.
  • Experience in a role that required building cross-functional consensus among internal and external stakeholders to drive business results.
  • 1 years of experience leading multi-disciplinary teams to meet aggressive schedules.
  • 1 years of experience in preparing and giving presentations and discussing the essential elements of a technology in front of other architects managers and/or executives

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • The candidate must be able to perform in a fast-paced diverse work environment. This individual must be able to build a high performing team in a cross-functional work environment including engineering manufacturing/operations quality and program management.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills are also required.
  • Current MRB authority or experience managing MRB engineers
