THE CORE OF WHAT WE DO
We are one of the strongest data science & technology players driving financial inclusion in emerging markets. We apply our algorithms to petabytes of data primarily from Telecom Operators in-country to profile credit risk of individuals while protecting their privacy through encryption and anonymisation of data processed on our platform.
Our proprietary risk assessment model that sits at the core of our platform is proven to outperform current models in use (measured in terms of GINI coefficient) and has enabled access to credit for an additional 40% of the population in emerging markets. These are people whove never had any kind of prior banking exposure and now are accessible and visible to the formal financial economy.
Trusting Social is looking to grow a team of zealous advocates of our cause who can identify build and sustain commercial relationships with very prominent businesses in a fast- changing and complex landscape.
THE ROLE - BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
As the Business Development Manager you will be a key of the Business Development team. During this phase of expansion you will be identify business opportunities and build long term relationship with prospects. That is needed in order to increase company revenue and maximize profits. Your role not only involves generating leads and closing sales on the ground but also entails designing and implementing sales systems and strategies for continued sustainable expansion. This requires a hands-on professional with strong results-orientation and great negotiation skills
Here are some ways youll be working together with us:
- Ideate / innovate / improve an AI-based product to solve business problem
- Identify and connect to potential clients with great Product x Market Fit
- Navigate along industry trend (local / adjacent countries) to follow with disruptive product development
- Perform market research go-to-market (GTM) strategy and go-live preparations
- Perform pilots of new business initiatives to prove revenue potentials (0 to 1 development)
- Transition successful pilot projects to Enterprise Sales team for scaling up (1 to 100 development)
Requirement:
- 3 8 years of experience in Technology or Financing Institution field
- Adept in Business Development role (product improvement new product ideation building a business case)
- Some experience in Sales role (directly selling / indirectly pitching for a business deal)
- Some exposure with Product role (assisting / contributing to product design or product-market fit exercise)
- Proven experience working in fast-paced environment (e.g. startup fast-growing business etc)
- Some experience in cross-team collaboration work (exposure to regional/global counterparts is a plus)
- Proactive assertive and able to take ownership of a goal able to drive forward and seek support
- Comfortable with navigating business prospect under uncertainties
- Experience in lending industry is a plus
